European Design Elevates American Luxury

Creative Concepts Design Center uses top of the line exclusive products and materials to offer trade professionals options that fit their client’s needs. Creative Concepts exclusively distributes for more than 30 European companies in an effort to bring top trends to luxury home design. With a specialty in bathrooms and kitchens, the portfolio of tile, wallpaper, and hardware options are seemingly endless.

Since 1981, Creative Concepts has been servicing the Washington, DC Metro area in an effort to provide inspired designs that are carefully thought through until the end for an upscale, high quality finish. Creative Concepts views the kitchen as the spearhead to decorative design where the client’s end result is the focus throughout. As a cabinet manufacturer and distributer, custom designs are in close reach.

As is stated on their website, “service delivery is key and should form a major aspect of the luxury home design process.” Their mission is to provide the enhancement of an ordinary space to a customized, well implemented design.

From the minute you enter Creative Concepts Design Center, a process takes place to ensure you leave satisfied. First, you meet with a designer who listens and gathers information on the client’s desired finished product. Next, the designer visits the home to take measurements and photos, documenting any structural, electrical, or plumbing issues that would hinder the design process. Next, you sit down with the designer to review and discuss the design and proposal. This is followed by concluding the addition of any new ideas. The designer then comes up with detailed specifications for the space, serving both style and functionality. When the finalized plans are signed and processed, the project manager arranges a pre-start conference meeting in the home to review the schedule, construction, and installation process.

The samples and showrooms include European tiles and designs exclusively distributed from AmbienteCeramica, Aparici, Azteca, Ce.Dam Ceramiche, Cevica, Dex, Eco Ceramica, Fioranese Ceramica, Horus Art Ceramiche, Inter Matex, Italian Kitchens + Closets, Kronos Ceramiche, La Fabrica, Land, LithosMosaico, Italia, Mafi Hardwood, Parquet In, Pecchioli, Ceramica, Q-Bo Ceramica, Ricchetti, Collezioni, Roberto Cavalli, and Saime.

Creative Concepts was recently appointed as the authorized and exclusive dealer of Roberto CavalliHome Luxury Tiles. Famous for his fashion designs, Cavalli introduced a new line of items for home decoration. Roberto Cavalli Home Luxury Tiles feature eclectic designs with bold patterns, metallic inlays, and various textures. The design center additionally features Roberto Cavalli Home Linen and RobertoCavalli Home Wallpaper. The Roberto Cavalli Home line is inspired by the iconic prints and patterns of the most significant collections: from animal print to damask, the colors and textures overlap.

The most recent project finished by Creative Concepts is in Great Falls, Va. This home design features white marble countertops, a white porcelain tile backsplash, and white hardwood cabinets. The dark grey ceramic tile flooring compliments the silver marbling in the countertops. The dual sided gas fireplace features 360 degrees of stacked tile.

Creative Concept’s use of porcelain tiles is on trend with a growing desire in interior design. This home interior design trend has gained popularity over time, mainly due to the unique low moisture absorption property of porcelain, which makes it extremely easy to maintain. They are available in a wide variety of colors, granting endless design possibilities to choose from. The superior quality tile options at Creative Concepts are an attractive idea for flooring or wall covering to achieve a modern design.

Today’s interior trends favor dark navy, as a counterpoint to white marble and mother of pearl, and is a growing trend in luxury projects specifically. This year, classic neutrals and pastel blues and greens, peach, coral, and purple will also become basic backdrops for the other elements in a room design. Another option that designers are taking advantage of is wall tiles, which let texture or patterns be applied on the wall while rivaling the detail and softness of wall paper, without the mess. The homeowner will get all the warmth and natural texture of wood in some of these customized tiles. The latest technology in home design has created tile that looks so much like wood, it’s hard to tell the difference.

Creative Concepts caters to trending designs by offering various options of materials, including longer wood planks from 36-48 inches in length, reclaimed barn or aged-looking wood, mixed materials like natural stone and wood imitating tile, parquet, square-based patterns, and more. All options are available in the showroom for developers, designers, architects, builders and contractors are welcome checkout first hand.
